Rob graduated BDS from the University of Otago in 1994 and spent eleven years in private dental practice in London before returning to NZ in 2005. He enjoys all aspects of clinical dentistry and takes pride in the fact that The Dental Institute can offer nearly all services in-house without the need for referral. He has a particular interest in implant dentistry and has over 20 years of experience in this area, undertaking additional training courses and working closely with surgical colleagues to provide patients with the latest treatment alternatives and techniques. He firmly believes in the need to have pioneering technology such as the Prime Scan and CBCT (3D xray) which allows The Dental Institute to complete even the most complex case with the utmost precision. Together with an experienced team of Hygienists, Oral Health Therapist and a Specialist Periodontist & Implant Surgeon, he offers a wide range of treatment from family based dentalcare to full mouth rehabilitation - small to large cases - with a caring and empathic manner. Spending time with his family and young daughter, golf, skiing, dog walking, travelling, and an enjoyment of good food and wine help Rob maintain a healthy life-work balance when outside the surgery. Rob has been a national NZ Dental Association Board member for 5 years and President of the Hawke’s Bay Branch for 3 years.
